Back in Action surgery preparation course
Our Back in Action class is a helpful, FREE course for patients preparing for spine surgery.These one-and-a-half-hour classes are scheduled regularly at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital and Inova Fairfax Hospital. The classes are taught by a team of spine care experts, including an orthopedic nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist and discharge planner. Bring along the person who will care for you after surgery and learn from these experienced professionals. This class is recommended for all spine patients regardless of which Inova hospital will be visited. In this class you will learn:
- How to prepare for your surgery
- What to expect during your hospital stay
- An overview of your exercise program
- Ways to achieve a successful recovery
- How to prepare for discharge
